straw hat Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Made 4 stops today. Came up with 10 keeper crappie with no real pattern. Water temps were from 75 to 77. Late this afternoon did manage to get a small channel and a big male channel that weighted in at 8.7 lb. That was not only a good fight but also a pealed thumb!! lol
brian prewitt75 Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Heading down late tomorrow afternoon to try a little night fishing for eyes and crappie. Cant decide whether to go to Ruark or up by Orleans. I assume you were drowning minnows? Spoony Slayr
straw hat Posted May 27, 2012 Author Posted May 27, 2012 Yep, minnows. with all the water skiers and personal water craft it probably won't matter where you go. lol I probably would do Ruark and head south into the timber areas like Birch Branch. Hard to water ski in timber. lol
