Fishing Report 5-29-2012

Had a good late afternoon fly fishing at Pointe Royale. There was no generation so my bro-in-law and I could get to our favorite spot down there. We fished for a couple of hours until sunset and caught plenty of fish but only a couple decent ones. We fished a Miracle Fly on 6x fluoro about 5 feet under a Palsa. At one point there was a pretty good current going upstream! My bro-in-law caught his first 20 inch fish and it was a female brown! After that fish we just caught a couple little ones a quit.

Thanks for the report, but if you are calling a 20" German Brown trout only decent, and it was his first trophy certificate fish, you guys are way above the most of us in expectations. I have fished here since 68 and guided here since 1990, and I then and still think 20 inch Brown Trout are very Special.
