The wife and I finally got the old pontoon boat out on the lake today. With all the vacationers gone it was real quiet. Headed up to Shaw's Bluff area. I remembered that 'gobbler' had caught his at 7 to 10' on brush piles so we started out there. Hit 4 brush piles with only 2 having any crappie on them. Those two brush piles must have yeilded a good 60 or more crappie! We came back with our two limits (one of which was 15') and 2 nice channels. With no boats on the lake it was great. fish were 6 to 8' deep and the bite was a little light but not bad.

Glad I could help Straw Hat, hahaha. Not that you need any help from me anyway. Congrats on all the crappie. I sure didn't have that kind of luck though.

Sounds like a great day. Congratulations on a fine mess of fish!

Life's way too short not to fish!
