Members Roosters Tackle Posted May 30, 2012 Members Posted May 30, 2012 Hey guys, Thinking about planning a trip up to the Crooked Creek and was just curious if anyone can give me a heads up on the fishing is. Thanks Roosters Tackle - The Best American Made Fishing Tackle!
Members rhondafish Posted May 30, 2012 Members Posted May 30, 2012 Things pretty low this past weekend from Pyatt to Snow, though we did see a few waders. Don't think anything is real good floating right now. You might call the Fred Berry Center at Kelly's Slab to see what the water looks like from there to Yellville. The hot fishing this past weekend was the White River for Trout. We caught 40 in less than two hours before crowds and heat drove us out.
Members dbaltz Posted July 22, 2012 Members Posted July 22, 2012 Probably good wade fishing with the low rainfall. Tips and pointers. I usualy fish 6lb mono. Lasted year I overnighted on the creek and respolled to 10lb. Larger cranks were great in october. My best advice is do not assume the depth of a hole by the normal teriegn clues. Much of the bedrock has eroded qualities. I'm no geologist but from what I can gather it looks as thought the limestone has eroded faster than the sandstone creating big pockets inside what in many streams would be of averae depth.
gotmuddy Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 soft plastics will get you numbers of fish in the triple digits. Fish from snow down. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
