strangercreek Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Here are my Simms L2s after being resoled. It was $49.50 as KC Shoe and boot repair, that included tax. They don't have streamtread or aquastealth, but they have two vibram designs to choose from. I went with the multidirectional tread as opposed to straight lugs. I have had this shop do repairs before and they do great work, reasonable prices as well.

(as in wading / versus felt) I treated mine with the 3 part MDC method... but I don't like them as much now. They are just slippery. I have heard several people complaining that the MDC method is terrible advice, and you would be better off with running shoes! My brother and I were down at Bennett Spring in normal water levels, and he commented it almost looked like an ice skating rink! ;-) In the first 3 hours of fishing, we saw 5 people slip and fall, with 4 of the 5 going completely under the water. It appears that either some folks are having issues with the no-felt sole learning curve, or they all must have followed the MDC suggestions! * ´¯`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸ ><((((((º> `•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸ ><((((º> .¸¸.•´¯`•.¸ ><((((((º> I look in my fly box and think about what should guide my choice of the best fly: the amount/angle of sun on the water, the water temp & clarity, what bugs are hatching, what the fish might be eating, and what worked last time. drew03cmc Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 My Korkers have done well on any stream bottom I have worn them on. I hit some slick mud yesterday in the Wakarusa and I felt pretty confident in my boots. Andy
