I have attached a recent article which studied the effects on trolling for crappie on harvest rates. It said that in recent years fisherman are getting away from using a single pole for crappie in hte summer around cover and going to trolling with multiple poles. This is putting an increase burden on crappie populations. Interesting reading.

But either way there is still a limit of 15, if you use 3 poles trolling your possibly going to catch ur limit faster as to just using one pole. I myself use one pole trolling and if im stationary over brush or what not i potentially use 2 which can broaden my chances.

I can honestly say im doing my part.I havent caught a limit on crappie yet this year.My boat sucks in wind and waves. There is 2 adults and 3 teenagers in our house and i have to go out early(4am)and get a couple catfish just so we have enough meat. Can never get enough crappie to fill everyone up.

I can't hardly catch a crappie anymore casting at stockton. I remember using a jig and minnow and catching lots of them, maybe it's me though. I did catch 14 crappie today trolling, most between 6-8pm.good fish!

cant open the document, get a prompt saying I dont have a program or something like that... so can't comment on the article, but like fishbait3 said the limit is 15 or what ever your lake your on and there limit, If I catch 15 in an hour I am done,if it takes 8 hours to get 15 then I'm done. so what were some of the points on trolling.....
