Regulations Question

Where can I find the regulations for Bennett? I was told you could not fish a dropper fly in the park. Got to thinkin I ought ta read the rules and regs.

Go to MDC and search, they will be in there somewhere. I believe that is true however.

Normal MO state rules apply in the park with exception of the zone/bait restrictions and limits... dropper flies are allowed.

searched for over an hour and found nothing. Searched droppers and no answer there. Not real easy to find specifics on there sometimes.

Thanks for the link mic but didn't see it addressed in there either.

Got a brother-in-law that says it's not legal and unless I can show him in print he will maintain he is right!

It's legal in zone 1 & 2. I've gotten that answer from the MDC agents but I'm like you, it sure would be nice to find in writing on an official site.

It's legal as long as each hook (in zone 1) is a single hook and meets the definition of a fly. I think it falls under the section of the code where it says you can fish with as many as 3 hooks.

It is common practice, so MDC would only document it if it was illegal. Accordingly, I don't think you would find it.

Perfectly legal. It's been discussed multiple times. Do a search and you will find a bunch of threads about it.
