Billfo Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 All United States water bodies All fish All sizes 1/week Mercury Because all fish have various levels of mercury2, the EPA recommends that sensitive populations consume no more than one (1) fish meal per week, in the absence of a local advisory. All Missouri water bodies Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass, Smallmouth Bass, and Walleye > 12" 1/month Mercury Interesting...... but not anything new is it ? Email me Red-Right-Returning is for quitters !
mclothier1 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Billfo--Yep, its all catch and release for crawdads now, sorry The way I read it.... DONT consume raw crawdad's from Table Rock. But cooked crawdad's are A-OK to eat. if Im not understanding that correct, please point me in the right direction.

Members River Rat Randy Posted June 19, 2012 Members Posted June 19, 2012 now I cant eat the Crayfish ? ... No ... It's just intoxicated crayfish that are killing the lab rats.
Wayne SW/MO Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Unfortunately there are a lot of things that aren't removed, or can't be removed, from sewage plants and if you think the AR and MO towns in the watershed don't dump anything harmful then have at it. I think I would avoid any bottom feeder, which would include black bass. the majority of trout in Taney probably don't stay long enough to be polluted, even though they're bottom feeders. Whites and crappie are probably the safest because of their feeding habits, maybe gills. The little extra added by the watershed population is the reason for the cloudy water and that's your clue that there's a lot of stuff in the White river lakes. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
