Be down on Sunday for the week. Staying at Mill Creek resort. Any word on the gills and whites need some fish for the freezer. I will be in a black champ 203 with silver arrow merc 225 opti. Say hi if you see me, if you want.

Nothing to give you on the eating fish, but will be around Kimberling Monday thru the next week. Will keep an eye peeled for you and will post anything we find on the fish. White/silver/red Ranger 521 with OAF orange sticker on the back of the merc.

Plan to start looking for gills with the kids around the bluffs and swings with wood. Drop shot and crawler. Know that flies in the face of the gravel point logic, but it works. I also don't do the cricket deal...

bjvoan,

I live north of Mill Creek resort on the west side and have caught lots of bluegill recently along the banks between the docks. As far as whites, in this area they have been elusive, however Thursday night around sunset they surfaced along with lots of topwater action on the west side of the point (end of Mill Creek cove) back towards Caboose Junction. Probably won't be there again, but it was fun while it lasted with largemouths chasing shad also. Add to another beautiful Table Rock sunset and it couldn't be better. Have a great time.

If your looking for whites in that area, look at sunrise and sunset around point 9. Between the point and island I have saw some come up just before dark. I would have rods set up for whites and gills at the same time, fish for gills on the break on the north side, where the bluff runs along the gravel point, and keep both eyes scanning for whites to show.

Seems like there are always some whites around #9 and all those high spots there. Usually catch them deep on a jig spoon.
