Current Conditions?

Brian,

SMFF is having an Outing on this Sunday, Oct. 15, floating from Kelly Ford to Blair Bridge. Do you have any information on the current river and fishing conditions? I see that the river is low from the USGS river info, also how bad is the moss?

Darn.I was hoping that there wouldn't be anyone on the river on this Sunday. Where are you folks staying and how many plan to float?

Anyway, I floated from Kelly to Sunburst with my wife, and the in-laws a couple weeks ago. The river was really low, fishing was slow, but the moss wasnt too bad (every 3-4th cast) except for the area around ROLF. It should be better now. Good Luck.

Fishing was a little slow this weekend (note: My fisherman for the weekend had never touched a fly rod...could have a little to do with it )

Wet flies are doing fairly well when all else fails, I would definitely have a few with me.

I VOW to do more reports for the OA board....my fault guys, I'll do better.
