Found A Use For The High Speed Internet.

Back in Nov, my Hi Speed internet company did a belly flop and left me with a worthless dish. A few weeks ago, squirrels started cutting down corn for water so I used another small dish to make a water bowl for them. It has worked so far and saved my corn. I placed a game cam overlooking it and noticed many birds using it for water and baths. A possum makes nightly visits also.

So, tonight I made a big bird bath. It is great to live in the country with no snobbish neighbors....

oh, the 'dish' for the net. ok. I was gonna say, if you haven't figured out a use for high speed internet, you haven't been looking at the right 'sites'.

Putting water it will certainly help your tomatoes. A lot of critters will use them as a water source, especially squirrels. Nothing more aggravating then having half your ripe tomatoes have a bite out of them.

The one in the pic is for the birds. The one in the garden is at ground level and has become a good water hole for the rabbits, squirrels, and a possum.

This dry weather has taken a toll on many animals. I know of 2 fawns lost at the farm this year. One was in the barn, the other came into the yard. Both had masses of ticks around eyes, nose, and mouth and looked sickly with eyes swelled almost shut. Both died a few days after we found them. I am sure it is hurting the turkey hatch, they require alot of water.
