I finally took a stab at painting my favorite shad patterns.

Sexy Shad

Citrus Shad

Splatterback

They came out pretty good for my first attempt at these color schemes.

Especially since the baits were handcarved balsa wood.

If I screwed up, there was no starting over with these baits.

The textured sides on that citrus shad were not intentional.

It was a mistake on my part that turned out good.

Sometimes, those little mistakes can be your biggest accomplishments.
