fishbait3 Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 i was just wondering how far/long of a trip it was from the bennett access to the barclay access. I am in hopes of making a nice float with lots of fishing. How low is the river.
oneshot Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Its only about 7 miles. The River is Very Low right now. oneshot
GloryDaze Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Can't speak for this river- but my general rule of thumb when figuring float time is 2-3mph if I'm not fishing and 1mph if I am fishing. Follow me on Twitter @DazeGlory
fishbait3 Posted July 11, 2012 Author Posted July 11, 2012 thanks oneshot i was beginning to wonder if i should even try. Yea i plan on taking my time if i go since i havent fished a river all this yr. but i might just head to the lake.
Wayne SW/MO Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Low for the Niangua below Bennett isn't all that bad. It's easy to float it in a day, but time is relative. If you really want to go I don't think you'll regret it. You can shorten it some by leaving your vehicle at NRO, $3 I think. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
