Wayne SW/MO Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 I wonder how this fish got there? I don't think I would put it on the wall of my business. http://www.oldoarhouseinn.com/Carp_record.htm Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Greasy B Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Sad! His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
Wayne SW/MO Posted July 24, 2012 Author Posted July 24, 2012 Fishnwrench informed me that they sold them as minnows at one time. So much for the tale about a flood accidentally releasing them. Another example of a government protection that's to little to late. They shouldn't allow any foreign creatures into this country unless they are dead or zoo bound. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Midwest troutbum Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Amen to that Wayne. Ive heard a commercial fishing co has begun near alton il which exclusively fishes for Asian carp. They then sell the fish back to China. Hope they clean out the rivers of these non native species and gouge China on the prices in the process. Only seems fair. Some job creation for the U.S. too.
