Members Calvin G Posted August 4, 2012 Members Posted August 4, 2012 I recently acquired a homemade boat trailer, looks pretty old. I have no title for it tho. How would I get the title for it? The previous owner never had it. Been looking all day at the DOR website and am only making progress on the confussion
gotmuddy Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 in AR getting a title for a boat trailer is easy as heck. Just go to the revenue office and tell them you have a homemade trailer and need tags for it. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
UnCivE Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 In Missouri, you need to make sure it passes all inspection requirements (lights, etc..) and go to any authorized motor vehicle inspection place and they'll inspect it for you and give you a little inspection receipt (just like with your car). You go down to the DMV, fill out a request for title, pay your money and they'll give you plates and a decal with a "vin" on it. The title will come in the mail later.
Members Adley Posted July 1, 2013 Members Posted July 1, 2013 As you don't have any previous detail so mentioned that it is home-built trailer while applying for title. Pontoon Fishing Boat
