As I was stripping a soft hackle just down from Outlet one today (Sunday) I have the rod low to the water an at least 24 inch beautiful brown jumps completely over my rod. Besides startling me of course I swear it stuck it's tongue out at me.... Outside of that fish it was about the only excitement I had on the lake today. Tried several different bugs and finally caught 5 the last hour on trout crack. I was fishing the faster riffle water between 1 and 2. Lots of folks there today and you almost had to fight for a parking spot. I didn't see many fish being caught even in the outlets, but I can tell you the big browns and some 5 and 6 lb rainbows are crusing the trophy area.
