August 18Th Report

Fished about 6 hours yesterday around the dam. We caught about 20 bass - mostly largemouth with a few smallmouth's mixed in - with 4 keepers. Most of our fish came off of main lake points. Caught a few off some secondary points (saw one guy catch a nice on at the ramp as were putting in). Went in one main lake pocket and could see bass cruising everywhere but couldn't get them to bite anything. Most of them came off of soft plastics, caught one on a top water. Caught a couple right off the bank and some out to about 15' deep.

I went after the walleyes, wife and I fished bout 8hrs total , caught 5 short eyes , 2 keeper eyes , ,one 11" crappie ,4 channel cats and 3 bass.We fished around the thermocline mostly used harness rigs

Heard you were down kwall. My wife and I trolled cranks for six hours on the 18th. Two keeper walleye and two shorts. Also caught several other species. Beautiful day on the lake.

WM, yep - wanted to stop by and see how fishing has been for ya' this year,try to catch up with you next time -- sure was a nice weekend on the lake, so nice I may go back up on Friday night or Sat. AM if wife and I can shake loose from "honey dos"
