Terry Beeson Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Lightening, I agree.... Snow and ice?.... WUSS!.... (Of course, I will be saying that from the comforts of my office chair in front of the fireplace while the real fishermen are all battling snowflakes and big browns....) Leonard Posted November 6, 2006 Author Posted November 6, 2006 Well I rather not stand jewel deep in water with a lightening storm overhead with a fly rod in my hand... I'll fish if its close but not over head... I dont mind fishing in the rain.. I enjoy it sometimes... Snow... it just depends on how deep its going to get... I got a van.. not a 4 wheel drive... 3 years ago (in Jan) I stayed overnight at the dam.. I couldnt get out till the next morning about 11am when the sun come out Ice... sorry guys... I live right on Table Rock lake... there are a few hills between here and there... If Im coming off Taneycomo in a ice storm.. loo10 Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I believe this post ought to put to bed once-and-for-all whether or not it's ok to promote one's business on the forum. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 28, 2006 Root Admin Posted November 28, 2006 Leonard ok'ed this before he posted the special. I don't mind promoting each others businesses at all, as long as it's tasteful and appropriate. OAF members know what when right and wrong- if it's wrong, then the poster gets a black eye and sometimes that's ok too... know what I mean. Quote from OAF rules- OAF does mind links posted to other sites as long as they are sites of interest by OAF folks. Of course no inappropriate sites will be tolerated. Posting links is acceptable by "frequent users and contributors' of OAF. Please don't "spam" the board with nothing but links, no matter if the sites are useful to anglers. Hope this explains things. There's always going to be gray areas but again, I'm not going to micro manage this forum.
