Members pcwillmert Posted August 23, 2012 Members Posted August 23, 2012 Hello! I'm a graduate student from Cape Girardeau, MO. I've been fly fishing for over 20 years; my favorites places to fish are Rainy Lake, Ont. for monster pike and football-sized smallies. I also fish the Little Red River in Heber Springs, AR. I've been trying to get a trip going for the North Fork and Eleven point, but things keep getting in the way. Also, I'm teaching a fly fishing bassics clinic at Southeast Missouri State University in September. If you know of anyone that might be interested, please pass along this link: http://www.semo.edu/continuinged/registration.htm I look forward to meeting you! Phil Willmert

jdmidwest Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 JD, If you don't mind me asking, how do you know my father? I used to run a fly shop in Cape Girardeau during the early 90's and he was a customer. He was good friends with one of mine, Rick Hayden. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
Members EddieRay Posted August 2, 2013 Members Posted August 2, 2013 Did you get your undergraduate degree at SEMO? If so, welcome to a fellow alumnus of Southeast Missouri State. I graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1987, changed careers in 2000, and have been a Cisco converged network engineer for Sprint in Kansas City for some time now. You have some nice rivers that aren't too far way. That's one thing I hate about Kansas City. All the best smallie rivers in Missouri are a few hours away.
