Members Bass Ivy Posted August 25, 2012 Members Posted August 25, 2012 I havent been out in about 6 months. I blew my motor on my boat. Anyhow Ive got a different motor on it now and Im ready to. I was just wandering where would be a good place to start lookin for stripers? I read F&F's post from a few days back said he got into them around Rocky Branch. Would they pretty much be anywhere from the dam to around point 8? Any help would be appreciated. If anyone could point me to some spots to check out I will sure give it a shot.
Feathers and Fins Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Try from Rocky Branch to the Islands in front of 12 bridge there was a TON of bait at the islands the other day. Feathers and Fins Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Bass, Its going to be an interesting next few weeks, I just looked at the long range weather and the lake shoudl be cooling off more. I actually expect a topwater bite to start around mid to late sept this year if it keeps cooling. The shad should be easy to find as well on the mud flats where any creek is comming in. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
