mic Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 As some of you know, I'm retired Air Force (part Air Traffic Controller part IT project manager). I'm a teacher's kid, but from a farm town. So this pic says it all for me. A farmer in Nebraska does it every fall for the air jocks flying out of Offutt AFB.
Jack Jones Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 That's really cool that he tales the time to plan that and put in the effort. Thanks for sharing that one! "Thanks to Mother Mercy, Thanks to Brother Wine, Another night is over and we're walking down the line" - David Mallett
Wayne SW/MO Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Nice! I wore the blue also. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
gramps50 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I was in green but that is still REALLY COOL! All our soldiers past and present need to be thanked for their service to this great country. It's because of them that we get to so what we like to do.
lee G. Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 My son is Air Force, Ill send him that one mic, Thanks!!
cnr Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Google maps has another message from the same field. Seems like this farmer works hard at providing messages to the airmen. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=offutt+afb&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Offutt+AFB,+906+Sac+Blvd+%23+1,+Offutt+AFB,+Nebraska+68113-4040&gl=us&sqi=2&ll=41.1329,-95.928669&spn=0.029349,0.055189&t=h&z=14 Here is an article validating it's validity on snopes.com. http://www.snopes.com/photos/patriotic/offutt.asp
