Terry Beeson Posted October 20, 2006 Author Posted October 20, 2006 Dano... you rule the roost!!!!.... But your wife rules the ROOSTER!!! Gotta bug out, ya'll. Dano called and he knows, but I went to bed last night with a blown knee. Went to the Dr today (had an appt for some other stuff) and I go for an MRI next Friday. Can't stand, walk, sit, lie down, or anything without it feeling like someone is sticking an ice pick through my knee. The pain killers are helping though... Hey Leonard... catch up with Dano and clue him in on some night tactics... Gotta get back on the couch now... You guys have a good night fishing and catch some BIGGUNS for me!!... PICTURES... I NEED FISH PORN!!!! gonefishin Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Aren't you guys afraid of the wild animals out there at night. You know like maurading armadillos and such?????? I would rather be fishin'. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." Benjamin Franklin, 1759
Leonard Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 beavers... that the only thing that scares me at night!!! the big fish that jumps out of the water 10 feet downstream from you and you feel the splash of the water... that either scares you or it wakes you up there is a little cute red fox down there... who seem to be getting really friendly.... I understand he likes sardines... http://www.taneycomonights.com
Danoinark Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Sorry you guys couldn't make it. I didn't run into Ducky. And I hope Terry gets recouped. This was only my second time night fishing and I did feel lucky to pick up a nice 15 inch brown stripping a white woolie. Got several strikes and hookups so I felt good about that too. Its a whole different ballgame, this night fishing thing but I can see how productive and rewarding it can be. Being out there without the fishing pressure, the solitude, the night sky, large splashs of big fish and other things that go bump in the night but mostly it's the anticipation of a monster fish slamming into your bug at any moment. I did run into night fishing guru and guide Leonard and his dad and he passed on some tips that I can use when I try this again. He also gave me a couple of his special flys to try. Thanks Leonard its always a pleasure to fish with you. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
