Guest Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I just washed 2 loads of camoflauge in no scent formula. Its hang drying right now. Usually, I like good ole baking soda and water, washed in the sink. Shot my bow on saturday, dead on. first shot Ive been feeding my deer for a month at least and getting plenty of trail cam pics. The does and fawns are there early and late, but big boys seem to be high noon. I've also been riding around in the evenings glassing deer out in the pastures. They seem to be less deer in the woods and more in the fields right now. I did find some impressive bachelor groups that are worth noting. I have no stands set out, since I intend to ground hunt out of a turkey chair. This gives me the mobility to hunt several locations on a given piece of property. I would hunt out of a box stand, but thats nbot practical and I have no help. With the nice cool air and an early bow season date. I'd say that Im ready to hunt, versus sitting back and second guessing where I should hunt after the season opens. With that said, I do miss the comraderie of deer camp and the nostalga of an old hunting cabin. I dont however, miss deer camp politics and such. That kinda kills the spirit, sometimes. Best of luck to ya'll this deer season. Lets make it count!!
jdmidwest Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I think I will just step out the back door, shoot mine, process it, and go back to duck hunting this fall like I usually do.
