Forsythian Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 I stopped by the new canoe/ kayak shop on 65 near the Highlandville exit today, and I was taken by the Native "Ultimates" with the tunnel hull. Kind of a kayak/ canoe hybrid. Anybody paddle one of these things? Cenosillicaphobiac
rps Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 I own one. Not a fancy, manuverable, white water design - just stable, comfortable, and plenty of room.
BilletHead Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 I have a Native 12 ' Ultimate. Very stable. I have stood up in it but it is a bit wobbly. When I fish I like to stand up so my Diablo Adios is the choice. The Native is a faster paddle so I used it this morning for transportation while teal hunting to move my decreped carcass, guns and decoys a mile to the hot spot. Mrs. BilletHead walked to the spot. "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" BilletHead " One thing in life is for sure. If you are careful you can straddle the barbed wire fence but make one mistake and you will be hurting" BilletHead P.S. "May your fences be short or hope you have long legs" BilletHead
woodman Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I checked out the Diadlo site... at 12' 6'' and 36'' wide... but 70lbs....they don't show a bottom pic. of the hull.....Nice though.. If I was going to design a SUP (stand up paddle board) it would have to be on the lines of this type kayak only about 1/2 the weight... http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/
