Members Bruegy Posted November 2, 2012 Members Posted November 2, 2012 Work is sending me to Santiago, Chile in 2 weeks and looks like i will have 1 maybe 2 days to play tourist. I know there there is some really good fishing in Chile but i am having trouble finding information on places to go in/near Santiago. I am not going to be bringing gear so it would have to be a guided trip or rent gear. If i manage to go i will be sure and post some pictures, any help or information would be appreciated.
mic Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Try the Orvis world service. I can't remember the guy's name who runs it, but a really nice dude. Didn't have to, but helped me with stuff in Montana. OrvisTravel@orvis.com Orvis Travel: 800-547-4322 http://www.orvis.com...subcat_id=13957
Brian K. Shaffer Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 You could email or get into contact with Dave and Emily Whitlock. They have been to a number of resorts and done extensive talks on fly fishing Chile. Sure would be a fun way to rub elbows with one of the best about a destination fly fishing experience. http://www.davewhitlock.com/ Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.

NoLuck Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Dang Kevin, I thought I traveled for work. You got me beat pretty good on distance. Now if you just had to stay there for 9 months.
