nxs Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 I was told that a new ramp was under construction at Beaver Creek and was wondering if there's still enough water to get down that way from the River Run ramp up by Shadow Rock. Would appreciate it if some one has any information. Thanks
vonreed Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I can't believe nobody has replied to your question! It can be hard to get information from Upper Bull Shoals on this forum sometimes. I would think you should be able to make it though. I've drove by there recently and the channel looks like you can make it below the bridge. Good Luck
nxs Posted November 5, 2012 Author Posted November 5, 2012 Well info is pretty tight out of there for sure. BUT I do thank you !!!! I figured it would probably be ok going down but it's a long drive. I think we might just give it a try about Wednesday. Thanks again.
Jeff Olson Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Hey NXS, I was in the area so I stopped by river run today.the ramp is still under water so getting in will be fine.about 150 yrds below the bridge looks to be the narrowest point that I could see and was about 50 yrds wide. I fished that area about 3 months ago and that area was about 7 ft,to me now, the water looks about 3 ft lower than then, so i would estimate 3 to 4 ft at shallowest.just a guess though! no boat trailers in the lot at 4 pm, but it was misting out.
nxs Posted November 6, 2012 Author Posted November 6, 2012 Jeff i appreciate that. That was kinda what we were guessing about 4' for aways below the bridge. I heard on the news that they were warning boaters on Bull Shoals and Norfork to be wary that they would be generating a lot of power and dropping the water level even more. Still hoping to get down tomorrow if I can get my fishing partner out of the house.
Dutch Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Gary the crappie on Stockton have been really good. I have been limiting in less than 3 hours. They are on ledges and points at 28'. 27 is too shallow and 29 too deep. Big T and I'll be at Rouark on Wed. He has no fish in the freezer and we are looking for 30 keepers.
nxs Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 Well our trip got canceled after all that. Maybe after my fishing partner gets tired of chasing goats we can get back down there. Dutch guess we ain't been fish'n deep enough, and most of the days we've been up there the wind is too much for me to hold that Lund off those points Hope you have a good trip. You hunting this year?
