I have for sale a Savage 111 chambered in .300 Win. Mag., synthetic stock. The gun is in great shape and comes with a Simmons 3-9x40 scope. I have the same gun (well a 110 with an Accutrigger) in 30.06. They are very accurate.

...300 Win Mag has got to hurt the shoulder. I hate shooting mine. Luckily it's only a few rounds a year.

Recoil is manageable, and it does the trick. Never had a deer step out of its shadow.

Sounds like the 45 70 I used to own. And I say used to. Yes never had a dear get away with it but man I finally got tired of the recoil.

Got a guy looking at the rifle on Saturday, but it goes to the first one with cash in hand. I'll throw in the 1+ box of ammo I have with it.

Absolutely. I just hate sighting it in when you have to shot 6-10 shots in a few minutes.
