Poor animal. They did him a favor by putting him out if it. I would not eat that meat either. I have seen other pictures of deer like that but have never seen one in real life even having guided for deer and Elk for better than 30 years. Seen some weird things but never an animal like that. I wounder what it is that does that? Ron

It is called "cutaneous fibroma" and it is not uncommon for deer to have a small one or two.

okay, but what would cause it to get like that?

Cute animals taste better.
