hoglaw Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I've been twice in the past month or so. Once was three or four weekends ago when we still had some higher water from the big rain in early October. We hammered them that day. The wind was really blowing and it was tough to get in position, but I caught a bunch of nice fish on bottom stuff, a few on frogs, and some good ones on crank baits. I went again weekend before last and had zero wind but low water that was crystal clear. It was TOUGH. Saw lots of mongo fish but caught maybe seven or eight between my girlfriend and I, plus one magnum crappie. Don't think we're going to get another major influx of water unless it's a cold rain, so my fast fall fishing may be done.
