Fly Fishing Again After 30 Years

Hello everybody! My name is Gary and I am originally from St. Louis but have been in the Ozarks now for about 5 years. I decided two months ago to take up fly fishing again after about a 30 year break. No excuses, just got too busy and finally saw the light. When I was a teen ager I fly fished for pan fish and bass. Now I mainly have been fishing for trout in upper Lake Taneycomo and Bennett Springs. Really enjoying it especially when they rise to take my dry fly offerings. I want to thank all the experienced anglers for making these forums a daily visit as I fire up the laptop and learn more about trout fishing.

Gary, sorry to hear you've taken up fly fishing again. You should have taken up heroin or crack cocaine; something up could get off of easily. Now you're hooked for life. Seriously, welcome to the forum, hope you find some good stuff here. Russ
