Thanks Phil, I'll have to give it a shot next time just to see how "they" like it. I'm still pretty new at fly fishing & most of what I use are generally in the #20 -#24 size scuds, midges, & sow bugs. Been "learning" to do some stripping which has produced a few Trout, so I'd like to try some cracklebacks, sculpins, and some dry's.

For anybody still wondering..

Using sinking tip leader with tiger tails is really fun. Depending on where you're fishing and if the conditions are right you could get strikes on every cast. The tiger tail is essentially a crackleback with a cool looking tail. Really fun to tie up, too. Throw some bead-chain eyes for a really buggy look and experiment with different hackle colors!
