Clayton Will Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Many people are using Double Barrels these days. What are your thoughts on them and differences between the two?
Wayne SW/MO Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Doubles are generally cheaper and more likely available with a double trigger. O/U's break with a sharper angle and that can be a drawback under some conditions. You don't indicate what would use it for so it's hard to come up with a good comparison. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Feathers and Fins Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Side by sides are not the best for bird hunting to many people try and sight plane on a single barrel basically rendering the other barrel useless. O/U its a constant sight plane. Draw back to both is mule kicking and on a double trigger gun high probabiity of a double barrel discharge at the same time. Its shooter prefferance but i use a OU for all my waterfowl hunting it fits and that is more important than how many barrels it has or if it pumps or is an auto, if it dont fit it isnt the right gun for you. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
