Brian Sloss Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 As everyone knows, the river is the lowest it has been in years. That means the smallmouth fishing we normally do a lot of this time of year is not as productive as normal years. Low light early in the morning or right before dark is best for smallies. The upside this year is the trout fishing has remained very solid. If we get a rise in levels, fishing might get silly, though I would not just hold out for a big rain. The trout fishing is plenty good right now. There are a few trout spawning redds out there, so be careful not to walk through one. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
gotmuddy Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 your not kidding about the river being low! I thought the fishing was pretty fair considering conditions monday. when you can see the fish swimming in 12ft of water the water is too clear. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
