Great weekend of trout fishing, even with the low water and slow flow, the trout were very eager

to take our flies, I caught trout everyday on dry flies, mostly on a parachute adams, but caught

a few on a caddis, both were #18's, the other dry flies that are working would be, blue wing olives,

griffiths gnats, small cream midges and lt. cahills.

I fished a chamois worm a lot this weekend, caught fish on it everyday, I think the total for this weekend

was 5 fish over 3lbs, 3 of them were over 4lbs, 1 was a solid 5lbs.

all on the chamois worm.

I did pretty good on a small micro egg, #20 fished with a zebra midge in black, the zebra midge was a #18

or a #20 both sizes are good right now.

I managed a few nice fish on a red leech on friday, and a few with it on saturday, but on monday the trout

were more interested in my black, olive and brown leeches, caught a nice one monday, about 4lbs on a blue/

purple/grizzly #10 woolybugger, big fish like blue sometimes.

I talked to one customer, he told me he and his son had been doing very well in zone 2 on a green crackleback

the son also mentioned he landed one about 4 lbs on a pheasant tail nymph, and he had caught a few on a

white thread jig.

I talked to a customer on sunday, he said he was still catching trout on beetles, and had a guy in on saturday

looking to buy some bees, said he and his buddy had been catching trout on them all day.

Very clear water, so I'm using only 6X fluorocarbon on my nymphs and buggers, and standard 7X tippet when

fishing dry flies, good luck on the river this week, have a Merry Christmas.

Here is my last trout of the day on monday, nice fat 4 pounder :)
