Champ188 Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Thanks, Capt. Joe, Jeb and Bill for your thoughts and observations. Good info to ponder.
CaptainJoe Posted December 26, 2012 Author Posted December 26, 2012 I treat the Hydrowave just like anything else in your tackle box. It doesn't work all the time and in every situation as discussed above. If you get to the right place and maybe not quite at the right time, sometimes the Hydrowave can make it the right time. I feel it is working for me at those right places and whether or not it was the right time, it seems to occur more often than without the Hydrowave. It is tough to pinpoint, but I believe it works and it builds confidence. I like it for dropshotting....it seems to keep the bite on for a bit longer. Be careful on the volume, too. Smooth calm days: 1/4. 10-15 mph wind: 1/2. 20mph +: 3/4. I have yet to have it on full volume. The other nice thing I believe it does is to help mask the sound of the sonar transducer.
