Crank Bait/jerk Baits

If there is a way to private message on this forum I'd be glad to tell you exactly what I was fishing but thats been a week now and the chances they are still up there I would think is slim and the biggest fish I've seen in two trips is 3+ #'s not exactly the quality I expect up there.

I went out today (Sunday) in the dam area. Never caught a one on a jerkbait. Tried it pretty hard too. What I did catch was on a hula grub with a 1/4 oz. Chompers jig head. Caught one that went 20 inches but was pretty skinny. Water temps were 42 to 43 degrees.

Tough day. I'm deciding between pomme and stockton next Saturday. I would like to get a few bonus walleye (or as in the past a majority of Walters) but stockton is sounding tough.

The wind was out of the northwest. I've never had any luck with the wind from that direction on that lake. Seems like the times I've been out and the wind switched to the north or northwest, the fish would stop biting. Anybody else experience that on Stockton?

Glad you were by the dam today. Yesterday would have been a KILLER!!! Way to go fishing the Jig stuff!!! They'll bite a jig when they won't bite ANYTHING ELSE!!!!
