straw hat Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Withe nice weather I just had to get out of the house. Picked up a few largemouth near Hawker at around 15 to 18". One was 17". Visibility was 4' , 43 degrees and only a very light green tint to the water. Twin bridges was 42 degrees with 3' visibility and a little greener in color. CC was 38 degrees, 2' visibility and sort of milky with ice in the back of the coves. No crappie but it was a nice day to be out.
Skeeter ZX190 Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Did it get as windy as they said it would? The forecast was gust up to 28 mph. Up here in KC it didn't seem that bad even though our forecast was the same.
frying eyes Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 I also had to get out of the house today! I put in at old state park, to stay out of the WIND. Fished for 3hrs, not a since fish. Better then setting on the couch!
straw hat Posted January 20, 2013 Author Posted January 20, 2013 It was very windy SkeeterZX190! 3' waves(?) but 63 degrees out when we came home.
powerdive Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 We went deep jigging outta Mutton Creek. High skies and high winds made it tough for us. Brought in 7 crappies and a walleye, all caught on Raps at 35-50 feet. Not a very productive day, but enough for a fine meal.
