ollie Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Are there suppose to be any trout in capps? Sure couldn't tell it today by any means. Arrived at the parking lot by 7:30 and was fishing soon after that. I struggled all morning just to get a bite it seemed like. Then I caught a little brown about 10". That was nice since I thought I was going home skunked. Then came a goggle-eye and a chub. Nothing to get excited about. Went on to a deeper hole and started catching largemouth! The next 20 minutes I caught 4 largemouth out of the same hole. Biggest about 12", but the others went around 10". At least it was fun for awhile. Didn't know I would end up bass fishing today. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
Buzz Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 You do have a way of catching those invasive species. LOL Good for you. I managed 2 decent browns yesterday and jumped off a nice rainbow all in 2 hours. It is tough fishing for sure. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
