DChance Posted January 25, 2013 Author Posted January 25, 2013 Decided to go to Pomme as well. I will probabl put in at Nemo or Hermitage. I have a black and white Nitro Z7. maybe see you there. have the deeper jerks been working better than the regular ones?
ozarkgunner Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 The only one I throw is the plus one any more. I have a second morgage on my house to pay for the darn things but they work! Angler At Law
Jbrant Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 My wife's Grandpa was there Wednesday. He caught 6 keepers around the dam in about 3 1/2 hours. Biggest went 4.5. All on jerkbait, all scattered. Water was anywhere from 39-42. He talked to another guy at the ramp - he had a 5 1/2 but I don't remember what else he caught. I'm curious about the deeper jerkbaits as well. I'd never heard many guys talk about throwing them until recently, I'm going to have to buy a couple.
DChance Posted January 25, 2013 Author Posted January 25, 2013 I had heard that with the quickly dropping temps this year, it caused fish to stay a little deeper where the water may be a tad warmer???? but I don't know
smbasser Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 I haven't found them deeper. I haven't had my boat in over 20 fow and casting towards the bank
ozarkgunner Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Blanked. Not even a bite! Worst day of fishing in years. Angler At Law
DChance Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 It was 2 weeks ago but I found it tough too. caught 2 MAYBE 3 keeps and a couple shorts. all but one came on one stretch of bank. tough day. but that was 2 weeks ago.
