Hello, new to the forums here being from California. Appreciate the amount of info on the individual lakes posted here.

My partner and I are fishing the FLW College Nationals on Beaver in mid April. We have a guide setup for a practice trip in March, but would like to try and work something for ourselves out also. There seems to be a lot of marinas on the lake, but most don't have websites. We are hoping to rent a boat for 3 or 4 days to scout the lake. I've found a place down near the dam that rents Xpress striper boats, but not much else. Are there any other rental outfits on the lake?

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks! We are planning our practice around late March as is, our practice cutoff is early April so I dont know we will ever be able to have the same pattern as practice. Figured if we can pattern fish in prespawn and then check out nearby spawning flats we can get a feel for where we need to look come practice day.

Worry less about patterns on Beaver and more about locating possible areas that could have fish, Beaver likes to change her mind in seconds let alone day to day. From Rocky Branch to the Dam she is much like Silverwood Lake and from Rocky Branch to Beaver Shores she will remind you of Hodges. and from Beaver Shores to War Eagle think along the lines of the Delta.

As to rental areas Lost Bridge North is the only one i could suggest but never rented a boat myself. Be ready for a large fuel Bill Beaver is a Massive size lake compared to Cali Lakes.

Thanks for the replies guys! I went to the Lost Bridge site, but the minimum age to rent is 25 which kills that idea.
