Members Chris Posted December 26, 2005 Members Posted December 26, 2005 Hi, My name is Chris Altbergs. I moved out here in 2004 from Massachussets, but grew up in Conecticut. I began life as a trout fisherman, fishing rivers and streams in CT and New hampshire. I became a Bass fisherman when I was 18 and never really looked back. (I am in my early 30's now.) I moved out here for the bassing and the people. My wife and I love our new home and community in Blue Eye. I fish mostly the Rock for bass, but I have found some really nice crappie ou there of late. I appreciate this board alot it has helped me to learn about this new and strange lake i have found myself on.

Sharps4590 Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Could we say "A Connecticut Yankee in Phil Lilley's Court"? Welcome to the Ozarks Chris, glad to have you. I spent some time up your way in years past....well....a little north of "your way". Used to bear hunt up in Maine. Need to get back up there sometime I'd rather live my entire life, living as if there is a God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there isn't, than to live my entire life as if there is no God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there is.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 29, 2005 Root Admin Posted December 29, 2005 "A Connecticut Yankee in Phil Lilley's Court"? Huh?! Did you mean "pond"?
Members Chris Posted December 30, 2005 Author Members Posted December 30, 2005 Thanks for the warm welcome!! I truely love the Ozarks. (except for the summer Branson traffic). Check out my fishing report under the Rock.. I'm catching on to this crappie thing!!
Sharps4590 Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 A play on words of the Mark Twain book, "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court". Phil's pond is probably more appropriate tho...... Vic I'd rather live my entire life, living as if there is a God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there isn't, than to live my entire life as if there is no God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there is.
gonefishin Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 A YANKEE??? I may have to suceed from this topic!! Heh heh. Just kidding. Welcome to the Ozarks and I will check out your Rock Reports. Let me know where the Redears are. I would rather be fishin'. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." Benjamin Franklin, 1759
