Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 3, 2006 Root Admin Posted November 3, 2006 I was about to leave when I saw Kory walking down the bank. He was wearing a red vest I recognized as a resue outfit- he works for the Branson Fire Department. He was walking with another guy- his captain I fould out. They got a report of a missing woman. They asked if we had seen a lady in waders, 5'11" about 200 pounds. Not us. They said she had been seen last fishing at outlet #1 an hour ago. I walked up to the parking lot and saw 2 fire trucks, 2 abulances, 3 rescue trucks, 2 police cars and a Corp ranger car. About the time I got over to the parking lot at #1, I saw a guy, who was her husband, walk up and talk to one of the officers. Then we all heard on the radio they found her- fishing way down lake at the rocking chair hole. They also said she wasn't ready to come back up and was going to continue fishing. Her husband was not happy... embarrassed is more like it. Lots of trouble for a differences of opinion on where to fish!
Terry Beeson Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Well... at least she's OK... or at least she's ALIVE... (Don't think I want to be in their living room tonight...) Murdoc Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 I've been in Walmart before and thought I was going to have to call 911 before. I don't know how they hide so well. I can do my best to hide and poof she's there!! Smiles are free http://rdpflyrods.com/
MTM Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Glad they found her. But if I were the husband I wouldn't say a word. LOL Ron
Terry Beeson Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Ron.... you, my friend, are a very wise man.... Danoinark Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Was in a conference in Little Rock not long ago. Went out to get in the car and it was gone. I almost had the cell phone out to call 911 when I realized I had gone out the wrong exit. But I attribute my forgetfullness to parttimers disease. gonefishin Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Glad they found her. But if I were the husband I wouldn't say a word. LOL Ron I sure wouldnt say anything. Heck I like the way the gal thinks. I wish my wife thought like that. I've been in Walmart before and thought I was going to have to call 911 before. I don't know how they hide so well. I can do my best to hide and poof she's there!! Murdoc: That is a good question and would probably make a good topic. How do they do that? I know my wife can go poof in an instant as for me I can run but there is no way I can hide from her. It defies natural law. I would rather be fishin'. Terry Beeson Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 It defies natural law. Think about it, GF... "Natural law" as dictated by "MOTHER Nature..." Sort of reminds me of a joke my dad use to tell all the time... A police officer finds a woman squatting in the river (or insert pond, lake, creek, ocean, or other body of water as you please here) urinating... He says to her... "Excuse me ma'am... but you're not suppose to do that.. Why are you doing that?" She says, "Well... I think my husband drowned here..." The cop looks puzzled and says, "But how does that explain you peeing in the river?" "Every little bit helps!" she says...
