MrGiggles Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 I've had a terrible itch for doing some angling. I hit up my local three acre pond stocked crappie, Lmb, and channel cat. Only managed to hook a 3 lb bass on a jig. So I started brainstorming a little. I grew up in Minnesota and did a lot winter fishing through the ice. Can't do that here but I'm gonna try to mimic some of those methods. I still have some small jigs that I'm gonna try to use just off the bottom with a slip bobber and meal worm. I wanna try a Swedish pimple but I couldn't find one for the life of me. What I'm curious about is if anyone has tried this already? I'm targeting panfish. -Austin
Members raildog Posted December 8, 2013 Members Posted December 8, 2013 I use wax worms and slip bobbers, work great for blue gill and crappie occasionally. Minnows are the best bet for crappie and bass.
