cpriest
Hey guys, i have a camping trip planned this weekend on some private land that i just learned is very close to the baker ford river access. How is the fishing around there? Is it wadeable, or any bank access? I figured id go ahead and bring my waders, i just have never been to this part of the river. Thanks for any help! Danoinark
The river would be wadable but I am not sure where the property would be in relation to the Ford and access. There is a canoe put in at Baker Ford. Haven't heard any fishing reports of late. Bobber did take a trip last week to the upper sections. Bobber? Terry Beeson
BEAUTIFUL part of the river between Woolum and 65 bridge... Many wadeable fishing spots. Recent rain, cool temps, and just being fall it should be great! Even if the fish don't bite. I like fishing the Woolum area myself... there's a rather long pool there that use to be chocked full of fish... just before the shoals... You can get a lot of info at the Tyler's Bend Visitor's Center on 65 just south of the bridge... Wayne SW/MO
We put in there recently, but I honestly can't remember whether wading would be an option or not. The fluctuates so much I don't know if it would matter anyway. You should defiantly check it out. They say the Buffalo has a lot of Smallies, but I don't know where. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

cpriest
hey guys, by the time we got the coolers open and the camp all set up we only had about 45 mins of light. i brought in a few small smallmouth using a crayfish pattern on the fly rod and a few other guys caught a few panfish and smallies. it wasn't the best fishing, but we did catch some and just being out there was worth it all
