Wayne SW/MO Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 And yet the fish never seem to get the message. We get all lathered up and frothing at the bit, but the fish follow their instinct and normal timeline for the most part. Part of the fishing gene is the nervousness and anxiety that comes with warm spells either in the winter or early in the spring. There is no cure. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
TSmith Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 I think I have organized my tackle boxes 10 times this winter, I need to do some serious fishing to get out of this cabin fever. Last year was so mild, I was catching fish all winter long. This winter there has been skim ice on all of my local spots, so I have had little opportunity to fish. A man can only tie so many flies before he has to use them. 10 times... just 10 wow you really are disciplined. Something I miss is the feeling of wade fishing and stepping on a spring and thinking to myself "Gosh that feels good" I even miss the bugs, snakes, and the mowing... THERE I SAID IT. lol I believe that fishing is usually better when there is a full moon. People are more crazy when there is a full moon. Thank God He made fish the way He did so I can have better fishing when people are crazier than normal.
