Nortrad
The Jedi and yours truly put in at Kelly to cold temp's. Weather affected the bite, at one point the guides were freezing up and it was spitting rain. Water was up and off color, a little tough to fish by canoe, pull out, fish, repeat. Still had a decent day with several small to mid-size 'bows landed, no browns. Saw a couple of eagles and a mink. Lost two nice 'bows of course, right at island above Sunburst. Flies of the day: BH RL stone, Psycho Prince for me, bigger midges for the Jedi. Pretty good day considering the cold and having fairly poor luck on this river in the past. sean c
Atta kid Nortrad nice work. Fished the lower section Friday and despite the cold temps and still dingy water the fish bit good. It was so nice to see water in the river again.
Justin Spencer
Glad you had a decent day, both of you, and Sean that was me waving to you in the orange hat on the deck of our new cabin. And as always I appreciate the "tip" that Nortrad brings me of Mother's beer from Springfield, always much appreciated and not long lived around here. sean c
Justin I thought that was you the new cabin looks sweet. Do you have river access there? I want tour the next time I'm up that way.
Justin Spencer
Four wheel drive gets you right to the river, otherwise you have to walk down the hill from the cabin. The tour will cost you a beer or two to be consumed during the tour.
