Chalk this up to, I'll pass. I guess I get the ice fishing thing if you made poor enough life choices to be in a part of the world where this is the only game in town November through March. That's a whole freaking new ballgame when it comes to needing decent gear. I guess if I lived up there, I'd enjoy sitting on the ice or in a shack with my best buddies as much as anyone, but darn. If I live my entire life (and I will) without needing to go ice fishing out of necessity to catch someone, I'll die a happy man.

A friend of mine and her family fish that tournament every year. There's some huge prizes. I could see going and hanging out in one of those fish houses with a heater and a couple buddies, but forget that type of weather.
