Members TexomaOkie Posted November 6, 2006 Members Posted November 6, 2006 You better use common sense before clicking any of the links to the porn sites that have been posted on the forum. Some of these can be linked to child pornography sites. Clicking the links can automatically generate a download of illegal material. At that point you're subject to federal charges, and investigators have all the info they need to track you down!
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 6, 2006 Root Admin Posted November 6, 2006 These people put these topics up only to get hits. They get paid each time someone clicks on any of the links on the page. So by clicking the links, you are funding the trillion dollar, world wide industry. I delete these topics as soon as I see them. Unfortunately, most of the time they are posted at night and I don't see them till I log on in the am.
gonefishin Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 TexomaOkie you are correct about the porn stuff and in addition to that by clicking on them you can pick up all kinds of mean and nasty lil bugs ie virus, trojan horse, malware, spyware ect ect. Bust thing to do is learn to recognize them for what they are and avoid clicking on them. I would rather be fishin'. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." Benjamin Franklin, 1759
Terry Beeson Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Yeah, and the pictures are not even worth the free charge they put on my credit card.... Oh... uh... did I say that outloud? Those are pretty easy to spot, and like you said... just don't click on them.... Wayne SW/MO Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Those are pretty easy to spot, and like you said... just don't click on them.... I agree, spammers are obvious, so don't even look. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Danoinark Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Like Phil, I try to delete them ASAP. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Gary Lange Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 If I don't know what it is it gets deleted and I don't go there. I get some e-mails with just a name and some stupid saying and I just delete all those right away. It is a ll nothing but trouble and that is something I don't need. Respect your Environment and others right to use it!
Danoinark Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 There was an interesting spam post tonight which I deleted. It was from Inject Cartridge. The spam said that they were happy to have joined from down under and looked forward to getting valuable information. As it said it was signed inject cartridge. When you put the cursor on the handle you could have clicked and found all kinds of spam. Interesting too that one of the members responded that they were happy they joined. I also intended to respond but finally caught on. The spammers and bots are getting smarter. So do be careful out there. Dan Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Randall Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 well don't i feel smart... the name seemed odd, but the post did seem legit. Cute animals taste better.
