jdmidwest Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Just run across this site on another forum and thought it needs to be shown here also. Just goes to show you, no matter where we are, we fish. And you think fishing in Taney is tough sometimes.. http://www.baghdadflyfishing.com./ Now all we need is a site to tie the Saddam Noose Knot java script:emoticon('', 'smid_19') "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Fish Bork Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 That is awesome. Giving our guys some comforts of home. Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.
Terry Beeson Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 This is great! I heard a couple of years ago about the son of a member of the fly fishing club I belonged to fishing in Saddam's big lake behind his palace and asking his dad to send some fly fishing gear. Looks like that has really blossomed! Makes me want to go home, go through my stuff, and put together a "care package" of fly fishing "stuff" to send over there... The Caddis Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Looks like some sweet action. I agree a care package might be in order.
Kansas Fly Fisher Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 That's great! So where do we start . . . getting a care package together. I'm in for donating some "stuff." John Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
jdmidwest Posted November 9, 2006 Author Posted November 9, 2006 There is an address to Joel Stewart and a list of what they need on the website. Or you could add to the selection of flies to give them some variety. The Red Cross or a local Army recruiter could help direct you with how to ship care packages. Those guys love anything from back home. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
