J-Doc Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Any deep opinions on which map I should download for Beaver? I don't plan on fishing many other lakes for a while but I just want to get a map of Beaver. I'd like to get the best map I can and possibly with 1ft contours if possible. Navionics has 1ft contours but not on lakes in Arkansas from what I saw on their website. Is it worth the plunge and paying $150 for an SD card full of maps? Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
J-Doc Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 I picked up a Elite 5dsi chartplotter/down scan sonar at the Classic this weekend. Sorry, I mean to say which unit I have. Stump bumper Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Did you download the free Beaver lake map of the Lowrance web site?
J-Doc Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 I looked for it. Can't find it on Lowrance's website. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. Feathers and Fins Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Doc, you have to download the downloading instructions then you have to download the "WEBSTORE" then plug in your chip and follow the directions. Lowrance is not the most user friendly site for finding information it took me a while to figure it out. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
J-Doc Posted February 27, 2013 Author Posted February 27, 2013 I must be an idiot savant because I've looked all over Lowrance's website adn cannot find any "downloading instructions" or the WEBSTORE. I don't think they allow free downloads anymore. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. J-Doc Posted February 27, 2013 Author Posted February 27, 2013 http://www.navionics.com/en/downloads-updates Thanks. I actually just stumbled upon this. I was looking through the Lowrance website and not Navionics. So once I plug in a chip, I can download Beaver for free? What size/type chip do I need? I haven't even looked at my unit or the manual yet. :-) Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks.
